CLIFFS OF CAPRI won a maiden here for Simon Crisford in 2016 then returned from almost a year off to score at Kempton. His latest runs have come in much better company and should get back to winning ways at this level. Ascot Week showed some potential before running poorly on his debut for John Quinn at Pontefract. He's better than that and shouldn't be dismissed though Maximinus Thrax looks more of a threat. David Simcock's colt made a belated debut at Kempton last month when well supported and stayed on nicely when the race was all over. Di's Pride was a 33/1 chance on her recent debut at Southwell and was well beaten despite finishing third but the newcomer Mrs Angel has an ideal pedigree for this trip.
