Verdict

Red Somerset comes out best at the weights with his rider's allowance taken into consideration. He's the one to beat if running up to his best form but is returning from a lay-off and SYRIAN can take advantage. Ian Williams' charge ran out an easy winner of a seller over C&D a fortnight ago and his earlier form with Majuro gives him the beating of today's rivals Faithful Ruler and Una Pelota. Stand Guard and Mastership are difficult to win with these days though the latter makes most appeal judged on his more recent efforts.
