Verdict
YORKSHIREMAN finally took advantage of a slide down the weights when beating the re-opposing Lacey three lengths over track and trip a fortnight ago. He can go in again raised only 4lb. Jan Smuts and Black Iceman are regulars in these events but both are struggling to win off their current marks and recent 1m4f winner Royal Trooper looks a bigger threat if staying the longer trip. Carlanda's recent placed efforts came over shorter trips on the Fibresand at Southwell.
