Verdict
A few of these have been out of sorts lately and, with that in mind, a minimum stakes play is advised with Mandarin Spirit, who is nominated in preference to Blue Empire and Sharoura, who are a couple of others that have at least shown an interest in the game lately. The latter has been a good servant to her connections over the years and proved herself capable over this trip on her penultimate start. However, she was well held here off this mark last time and she probably has a little to find with the selection if they run true to form. Blue Empire has also found life a little tough of late and will do well to concede weight all round here. One to take a good look at in the race is Marcus Eile, whose trainer has always stated could be a profitable horse to follow on the all weather when the penny really drops with him. However, like many of the rest, his form tailed off as the last turf season went on and he is one for the notebook only this time. By way of contrast, Mandarin Spirit is at least in good heart at present and looks the most reliable option for a play in a race of this nature.
