    Verdict

Ainslie bolted up when well backed at Leicester last month and should be able to cope with a penalty. But that victory was achieved on ground with plenty of give and that may be the key to David Simcock's grey. Thirsk winner SANDS CHORUS kept on well once headed off his new mark at Carlisle. He might get an uncontested lead here and will be tough to pass with Melodica having been raised 5lb since finishing second at Bath in May. Peace Lilly's third at Newcastle was a step in the right direction but more would be needed here.
