Verdict
Today's distance could prove a problem to the more fancied horses. Whispering Spirit has been placed over C&D, but was still beaten three lengths and all his winning form is over shorter trips. Likewise Unlimited, who has won four times here over 7f, though he's preferred to stablemate and dual 1m4f winner Country Road. Cobo Bay is a C&D winner but out of sorts so CLOUDY BAY makes more appeal. Elaine Burke's charge is still a maiden, but his placed efforts at around this trip read well enough in this company and he remains open to improvement after only eight starts.
