        Verdict

        SCRIBE looks high enough in the weights on recent placed efforts, but this is an easier task than he's faced of late. A winner on the Fibresand at Southwell in February, David Evans' charge is equally at home on this surface and has three lengths to spare with Life Of Laughter on recent running at Kempton. The latter looks the main danger to the selection in this having finished third over a shorter trip here last time, but David's Folly is flattered by her latest third over track and trip given she was still beaten five lengths. Simple Jim is well handicapped on his best form but that was some time ago now and he hasn't raced since 2011.
