    Verdict

    DESERT VISION is well clear of today's opposition on official ratings and should be winning this with the minimum of fuss. Six of his nine victories to date have come at this track, including a latest win in a handicap, and he's likely to start odds-on for this. Faithful Ruler unexpectedly returned to winning ways here last week and an apprentice's claims gives him the edge on both Saturday's Lingfield winner The Mongoose and For Shia And Lula, fourth at the same track last time.
