Verdict

In a race where recent winners are hard to spot, STONEACRE GARETH stands out. He returned from a lengthy absence to win by six lengths in similar company at Kempton last week and a penalty looks unlikely to stop him going in again. Bold Bomber is the only other to have won recently and he should confirm running with third-placed Guildenstern and go close again. It's hard to make case for any of the remainder, though Rio Sands continues to slip down the weights and Avoncreek is dropped in class on his reappearance.
