Verdict

The progressive CLAP YOUR HANDS scored over a distance just short of today’s at Chelmsford before returning a wide-margin winner over 1m4f here last week. A 5lb penalty is negated by Poppy Bridgwater’s allowance and David Simcock’s charge is the one to beat. Nafaayes went close over 2m at Lingfield between outings over timber but winning hurdler Nelson River was well beaten when last on the Flat. Iconic Belle looks a bigger threat having found only one too good over course and distance a fortnight ago with Flat To The Max five lengths back in third.
