Ellesappelle gets the vote in this desperate seller with Kingsmaite and Following Flow rating the main dangers. The selection won well last time out when beating Mine The Balance in similar grade and with the fitting of first-time cheekpieces likely to bring more improvement he will be hard to beat. Kingsmaite rates the main danger on his latest third behind Dudley Docker but he has yet to win over this distance and is taken on with this in mind. Following Flow was a fair fifth behind Louisiade last time out and is another with place claims but his style of running suggests he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Of the remainder, Kova Hall has the highest ratings of these but has shown little of late so can not be put forward with any confidence and with this in mind for the winner we return to Ellesappelle who can land the prize.
