Verdict

Calling The Wind carries 6lb extra once again having already shrugged off a penalty to score at Chelmsford a week ago. He’s preferred to last month’s winner at Leicester, Sesame, but WAR EAGLE (NAP) looks a bigger threat. The latter wasn’t beaten far at Windsor on his handicap debut and with this extra distance expected to suit John Gosden’s 350,000gns purchase, he gets the vote in first-time headgear. Startegois another with plenty of scope now handicapping for the first time and is preferred to Fantastic Ms Fox and the more exposed Coastguard Watch.
