In depth

Verdict

Air Of York went close to winning for the first time since 2015 when narrowly beaten at Kempton last week. But MISU PETE landed a course and distance double early last year and looks set for a return to winning ways having just missed out at Chelmsford a week ago. He gets the vote with Jane Elliott’s allowance further helping his cause. Ettie Hart has been thereabouts at Brighton recently and Caledonia Laird won here in April but was a well beaten third at Bath off today’s mark last time.
