SHIFTING STAR has won a dozen races in a long career including this a year ago. He remains in good form yet is on a lower mark this time so gets the nod to go in again. Skidby Mill is ultra-consistent though she's shown herself much better on Polytrack and has never won from a mark this high. Pyrocumulus has won three times on the all-weather but never on Turf and though Roger Varian's horses continue to run well Delaire ran poorly at Brighton on his handicap debut. Western Playboy has never won but Sumeida is unexposed and makes his handicap bow on a very lowly mark.
