      Verdict

      This is another really tricky puzzle to solve but Water's Edge goes well here and Maiden Castle won over course and distance in April and wasn’t beaten far subsequent at Doncaster. Rainbow Jet made a winning reappearance at Haydock and Jean Baptiste’s run over 1m4f at Ripon probably came too soon after a victory at Newmarket but Sarvan looks to have gone off the boil. PATIENT DREAM (NAP) was well backed to follow up an earlier victory at Epsom at the Derby meeting but didn’t get the run of the race. He looks well worth another try over this trip so gets the nod ahead of the less-exposed Regal Vega.
