In depth

Verdict

Tenax posted a better effort when runner-up on softer ground at Haydock last time but the less exposed BROUGHTONS GOLD (NAP) gets another chance in this. The latter missed out on a hat-trick when also placed on soft going at Haydock but this faster surface will suit and he can return to winning ways.Epsom Faithfull finished behind the selection at Newbury last month and has subsequently finished third over track and trip while it was soft ground when Lihou went close over 5f at Chepstow. Al Dawodiya moves in the opposite direction having been narrowly beaten over 7f at Newmarket on her penultimate start and is fitted with headgear today.
