Ascraeus has gone up 4lb for a short-head victory at Salisbury while English Spirit’s win at Wolverhampton was a first in 13 attempts. MC’TED didn’t really enjoy softer conditions at Haydock after scoring at Yarmouth and remains unexposed on Turf. He gets the nod, though it would be no surprise to see improvement forthcoming from Heatherdown Hero after being gelded.
