Mercenary Rose won a Lingfield novice event over this trip on her debut in December and was clearly flying too high in the Nell Gwyn on her return to action. She still has time on her side but CELTIC MANOR’s two placed runs in the autumn have worked out well and it will be a surprise if the Haggas gelding doesn’t make it third-time lucky here. Deptford Mick and Journey Of Life have hinted at ability but may do better in handicaps.
