Pub Crawl went close at Newmarket recently and is preferred to Kingsofthemidlands, who failed to settle and was well beaten upped to this grade at York. But SPECIAL ENVOY was beaten by a winner rated 98 under a penalty at Newbury having won a novice race here before that and the Gosdens’ colt gets another chance now handicapping for the first time. Pistoletto is back up in distance but seems best on the all-weather nowadays while Bad Company has yet to race over this far.
