Verdict

It was testing ground when Englishman won last year’s renewal though he has slipped back down to the same mark and is preferred to stablemate Kyllukey. Lightning Charlie continued where he left off last year on his return and found one too good for the fourth time in succession while Pettochside won in soft ground at Salisbury when last seen in action in September. COLD SNAP hasn’t raced since winning a maiden over track and trip in May. But several winners came out of that contest and he could go close on his return. Under Siege and Pretty Bubbles have been thereabouts on the all-weather recently though both step up in class for this.
