PRINCIPLE EQUATION was only beaten a head by Agent Murphy at Bath last month and the winner went on land a Sandown handicap off a mark of 84. A repeat of that form should be good enough for a race like this. Old Guard shaped nicely on debut at Warwick, despite pulling for his head. The extra furlong should suit and he's probably the danger ahead of Salisbury third Certificate. Artistic Muse will need more to figure, however, while House Captain's breeding doesn't suggest he'll be a stand-out performer.
