In depth

Verdict

Allied was very green on debut at Newbury, as was Imaginative at Nottingham in October – both should be capable of better this year. Colenso and Rock Eagle are both newcomers worth monitoring for any market support and Laughing Stranger is the first foal to race of an Irish Oaks fourth who was a Group 2 winner as a two-year-old. There are four previous winners in this and FAJJAJ looks the pick of that quartet having stayed on nicely in the Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket just a couple of weeks after making a winning debut at Ascot last September. He gets the nod ti defy his penalty as Fabianski is having her first run on Turf and so are Loyal Promise and Mr Reckless.
