Como (USA) looks a most logical selection in a weak maiden. Roger Charlton's filly has displayed plenty of ability on all three starts last season, and although the daughter of Cozzene boasts no fancy entries, she should win. She has the clear measure of main market rival Lailani on their running at Newmarket last October and can confirm the placings. For those wishing to have an interest in Lailani, it would be prudent to bear in mind that her trainer Ed Dunlop is without a winner from his last 24 runners, while a bigger danger could come from Poppaea. Richard Hannon's filly displayed plenty of promise when fourth in a decent maiden at Windsor on her sole start last season, and should be well suited by the step up in trip.
