    Verdict

    THUNDER STRIKE was easy to back on his debut at Doncaster but was always travelling well and quickened nicely approaching the final furlong to score with the minimum of fuss. He should have more to offer and can get the better of the more experienced pair Split Rock and Smugglers Gold. Both have won on the all-weather but may find the Hannon colt has too much speed for them here.
