A wide open contest gets proceedings under way with many unexposed types in opposition but the principals look to be Able Baker Charlie, Cold Turkey and Confluence and the narrow vote is given to Able Baker Charlie. The selection was the best of these on the flat hails from a yard that has a good strike rate in these events and under conditions that suit he is taken to score. Cold Turkey rates the main danger as he was another fair sort on the flat at his best but all his best form was on the All-Weather and for that reason he is opposed. Confluence is obviously thought capable of better as he was sent off favourite on his only run to date. However he was disappointing so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Eleazr was a fair fourth on his debut behind Mikado and is another that is sure to improve and with his yard in top form he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Penny Park was a fair sort in points but has not progressed as expected as yet over hurdles and he may be seen to better effect when stepped up in trip and for the winner we return to Able Baker Charlie.
