In depth

Verdict

Aggravation has a 6lb penalty to carry for his win over course and distance last week when value for further than his winning margin having idled when hitting the front and David Elsworth's gelding is taken to follow up here at the main expense of Tender The Great and Veiled Applause. The last mentioned was only beaten a head by the selection last week and has to be respected on 6lb better terms but Aggravation may have been value for more than the margin suggests. Jools was further behind seven days ago and is hard to recommend on that evidence, while San Antonio is held by the selection on running at Newmarket last month. Recent Bath winner Tender The Great has to be respected but Aggravation has solid claims and he is taken to win again.
