Royal Hector gets the confident vote with , Just Superb and Borehill Joker rating the main dangers. The selection has improved with each run for Martin Pipe and although he is rising in the weights he has won with plenty in hand and he could still be ahead of the handicapper and under conditions that suit he is taken to win again. Just Superb rates the main danger as he was a good second behind Buffalo Bill last time out but his best form is over further and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Borehill Joker won well last time out when defeating Gregorian and he escapes a penalty for that win so he will not be far away off the same mark here. Auld Thynes Sake was a fair third on his first run of the season behind the well handicapped Red Society last time and he is sure to have come on for the run but consistency has never been his strong point. Red Dahlia is from a yard in form and could go well but he ran as if in the handicappers grip last time and he will need to improve to win off this mark. Of the remainder Orchard Fields is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to the in form Royal Hector.
