Imperial Quest is taken to see off Stalking Tiger and Red Blossom. A half-sister to the useful Reverence, soft ground should not hold any fears on breeding and Jamie Spencer has been brought in to replace Oscar Urbina in the plate. Stalking Tiger was given a particularly considerate ride in behind on that occasion. He travelled supremely without being posed many questions and the market should tell us plenty here. Red Blossom continues in a quest to land her elusive maiden. She was well turned over when encountering similar conditions in the past and first time blinkers are reached for after a visor failed to make much difference. Accolation is nicely bred and it would not be a complete surprise were the Royal Applause gelding to run well. Celestial Sphere cost almost half a million pounds at the sales and it remains to be seen if this American bred will be at home in such testing conditions. The Godolphin trained, Shadowy Figure is watched in the market. Potentially a good back-end maiden and Imperial Quest looks best equipped for the task.
