BIG BOOTS beat the favourite in good style at Bath on his debut to win a maiden by a couple of lengths. He may well defy a penalty with normal improvement stepping up a grade today. This is a bigger jump in class for James Watt but he beat a subsequent winner easily enough at Brighton on his introduction and will be no pushover. Adam Tiler ran out of steam in the closing stages when third in soft going at Yarmouth and may do better on this faster surface while Dancing Speed and Li Kui are preferred to Prince of Rome of the newcomers.
