Verdict
Just the four runners in the opener with Cordell the choice ahead of Magical Speedfit. Piece Of My Heart was very green on her debut and, in the circumstances, did well to win. However, the opposition was not strong on that occasion so the newcomers, the Mick Channon-trained Carleton, and Richard Hannon's Cordell, a 50,00 euros yearling who is by Fasliyev, might be good enough to give her a good race. As might Magical Speedfit, who was second to Ten Down over course and distance on his debut and the winner there was not disgraced, albeit in finishing last of five, in a Goodwood Listed race earlier in the week. The betting might clarify things but, for the selection, we will stick with Cordell.
