Fiordland was well supported at Wolverhampton and scored with a bit in hand so an opening handicap mark of 77 doesn't look insurmountable. ALTO VOLANTE, a winner at Wolverhampton in January, was aiming high when tackling Class 2 at Kempton last month and couldn't make the transition. He'll be happier in this company but Kempton winner Komore couldn't handle a 6lb rise and slightly better company at Wolverhampton. The latter is held by runner-up Sky Bright at the revised weights but Roman Mist followed a narrow defeat on the latter track with an even better run back there next time in better company though has gone up again in the weights.
