In depth

Verdict

Today’s going is a worry for recent Ascot winner Oh This Is Us, who finished well ahead of both SOLID STONE and Qaysar on that occasion. A repeat of last year’s second in the Balmoral Handicap in soft ground at Ascot should see Sir Michael Stoute’s charge bang there at the finish today while Qaysar has won a Listed race over 7f at Haydock on Saturday. Stormy Antarctic is still capable on his day though is hard to catch right and Syrtis is hard to assess debuting for new connections having won at Listed level for Andre Fabre in France. Winning handicapper Brentford Hope is upped in class.
