Verdict

It’s usually advisable to give the market the once-over before races like this early in the season. Delfie Lane is pretty much exposed and has been in decent form on the all-weather. Claire's Secret, who won over the trip at Chelmsford in October, has more scope than September’s narrow Kempton winner Glenys The Menace so goes on the short-list. Know Your Limit should appreciate stepping up to a mile and is unlikely to be far away if handling the switch to Turf and Fields Of Fortune showed promise in his first season, notably when second at Sandown on his debut. EVERY NICE GIRL was too green to do herself justice last year but she did hint at ability. Her half-brother Reddings Colliery was a very smart performer over this trip in the States so there should be more to come this year.
