Verdict

Locke is improving with experience and was second over track and trip 10 days ago, though probably doesn’t have the best of draws. Bell Shot is interesting dropped in distance as he hasn’t quite been getting home over 7f but Clive Cox may hold the key to this. Hollie Doyle’s mount Altai missed the break and ran green on debut at Bath and much better is expected but stablemate OLYMPIC EAGLE was an eye-catcher behind Saturday’s Sirenia Stakes third Hierarchy at Salisbury and is also a likely improver. Al Barez, a son of Dark Angel, and the filly Sky Blue Pink, out of a mare that has produced winners with all of her offspring to race, look the pick of the newcomers.
