John Gosden looks to hold a strong hand here with the more experienced Harrison Point getting the vote over the newcomer Tip The Dip in a poor contest. Harrison Point showed enough on his debut over course and distance behind Enchanted Princess to suggest that a race of this nature would be well within his compass. Granted natural improvement for that run, the son of Nureyev should be too good for his rivals. The others with the benefit of racing experience have little to recommend them so the biggest threat to the selection is likely to come from one of the two newcomers. David Daly saddles Central Command, a son of Cadeaux Genereux, while Fran's Future represents the stable of Tony Newcombe but of more interest is John Gosden's Tip The Dip. By the stable's Derby winner Benny The Dip, he is bred for stamina and may not have the speed to cope with stable companion Harrison Point, who gets the vote.
