Desert Chieftain won a lowly handicap at Yarmouth last time and the handicapper has taken no chances by raising him 9lb. Better is expected from Crystal Etoile after a disappointing run on the Fibresand at Southwell and he could figure, but preference goes to CATCHANOVA. He landed a double at Kempton in August and Eve Johnson Houghton's charge can race off a 3lb lower mark back on the turf. Skyfire and Could It Be Magic could prove best of the rest.
