Evanescent did better than expected when third at Chepstow but official ratings suggest MORACHE MUSIC is the one to beat. He is on a long losing run but has been thereabouts in all four runs this season in better races than this. Nag's Wag won at Brighton last year but recent victories have come on Polytrack and at a very low level – she is also giving away 5lb to her rivals. Vincentti drops into this grade for only the second time but probably has a little to find on these terms.
Nag's Wag (IRE) 8-11fav (9-8) Tracked leader, driven to lead over 1f out, ran on well, won at Lingfield 5f stks (6) pol in Jun beating Picansort (9-8) by 2l, 4 ran.

Quintus Cerialis (IRE) 20-1 (9-8) Dwelt, took keen hold and held up towards rear just off rail, pushed along 3f out, ridden and no real headway final 2f, 9th of 15, 16 1/4l behind Emily Goldfinch (9-7) at Lingfield 7f hcp (6) gf in Jun.
