Verdict

NEVER THIS WAY (NAP) improved when dropped down to the minimum trip in first-time headgear at Bath and finishing less than a length behind the winner. This won’t take much winning so he gets the vote. Tephi should have the edge over Ardad's Great on these terms but the less-exposed Flying Kiss may prove a bigger danger returning from a lay-off. Darkened Edge is related to winning sprinters so could get involved.
