David Evans holds a strong hand in this seller as both Memphis Man and SCARLET ROCKS are previous C&D winners. The former may be on the downgrade but the latter was only beaten half-a-length in a claimer here two runs ago and a repeat of that effort would probably suffice in this. Basle is rarely far away but has a poor strike rate while this may be too sharp nowadays for National Hope. Anjomarba has been running a little better than her form figures suggest, however, and could go close if first-time blinkers have the desired effect. She makes more appeal than the three-year-old Sugar Prince.
