Verdict

EXCEL POWER ended last year with a victory and followed up that success in a higher grade at Haydock on last week’s reappearance. He won’t start 20/1 again today and can defy a 4lb rise. Via Serendipity won over track and trip on his only previous visit to this venue and scored again at Goodwood subsequently. He’s preferred to Fox Power, who is still looking for a first win on Turf and debuts for a new yard along with Free Solo, a maiden winner in Ireland.
