        CHIEDOZIE was only sixth over track and trip on his debut but was still in contention entering the final furlong and improvement is expected. Macanudo drops down in trip after a moderate effort at Haydock while Commander Crouch finished third of only four runners at Brighton. The newcomer Mercian Warrior is related to several winners and represents last year’s winning yard.
