A winner at Chepstow last month, HAPPY ESCAPE (NAP) was beaten only a neck off today’s mark at Kempton last time. She finished a couple of lengths in front of Finale on that occasion and can confirm running in the process of landing this. Effervescence was something of a disappointment on her handicap debut having placed in all three starts in novice company while Indiscretion was still four lengths behind the winner when second at Salisbury a fortnight ago. Indicia may well finish closer with last month’s reappearance under her belt but it’s difficult to make a case for any of the remainder.
