Verdict

Boomerang Bob won the Listed race on the card two years ago and, though he hasn't scored since, has generally competed at a high level. BOY IN THE BAR continues to make progress and ran another excellent race at York and, though he keeps going up in the weights without winning, this could be his day. Shore Step won two handicaps at this level last summer and will be better for his run at Newmarket while Bushcraft was having only his fifth career start when landing a lesser grade handicap over the track and trip last month and is on the upgrade. Fyrecracker is another lightly-raced type and he caught the eye on his reappearance at Ascot while Major Jack takes a drop in class after finding things tough in a better race at Goodwood.
