        Verdict

        This looks a modest maiden as, though making late headway, Lassana Angel was still beaten 15 lengths when third at Nottingham in October. Cool Team’s second at Newcastle in September was a better effort and Desert Dream has to be worth a second look from a yard that does well here in this type of race, though his dam got better the further she travelled and he’ll be going over middle-distances this year. DAMOCLES was fourth in the Wood Ditton at Newmarket on his debut and the form of that race is usually worth following. He’ll know more today and looks the one to beat.
