In depth

Verdict

Sixteen Letters was having just a fourth start under Rules when second over a slightly shorter trip here earlier this month but DANNY KIRWAN (NAP) has been taking on much stronger opposition since landing an Ascot maiden and he should return to winning ways. Iron Mike has shown enough to suggest he can be competitive again but the drying ground may not aid his cause while the selection’s stablemate Roque It blotted his copybook in a Newbury handicap recently. Beyond The Pale failed to land the odds over track and trip in November and hasn’t raced since.
