Verdict

Step Back and Sizable Sam posted good efforts on their respective comebacks with the former second at Sandown and the latter going close at Exeter. Milan Bridge and Planned Paradise also ran at Sandown last time, though Paul Nicholls’ charge disappointed and the latter drops back down in trip. PREMIUMACCESS (NAP) hasn’t won for a while now but a different combination of headgear brought a much better effort at Fontwell last time, despite racing from 6lb out of the weights. Joe Tizzard’s charge can go close competing off his proper mark in this. Minella Buster and the recent winners Great D'Ange and Alminar are all upped in class while Golden Sovereign returns from a lengthy absence having won over track and trip back in 2021.
