Comanche War Paint looks to face a straightforward task and should be too good for his sole rival Penthouse Minstrel. The latter has yet to win a race from 11 starts and was well held off a mark of 78 in a handicap at Worcester last month when last seen last month. The Paul Nicholls-trained Comanche War Paint is rated almost three stones superior to the Ron Hodges-trained gelding and comes here on a hat trick following wins in novice chase-company at Wincanton and Worcester on his last two starts. Admittedly the latest of those came in June but fitness should not be a problem for the six-year-old who should win again with the minimum of fuss.
