In depth

Verdict

Following a second at Cheltenham, DANNY KIRWAN led until approaching the last in a decent handicap at Kempton on Boxing Day. He is rated 4lb inferior to Jay Bee Why but the latter was badly let down by his jumping last time and his yard is struggling for winners. Winning hurdler Certainly Red is having a first run over fences but is much preferred to the other debutant Mr Palm.
