Verdict

Minella Tipperary has slipped back to a fair mark and has every chance on the pick of his form on ground conditions that suit but the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding has been well held in recent starts and seems best watched in a race taken to go to ELSIE'S PRIDE, with Topless rated the best of the rest. The selection represents the in form yard of Venetia Williams, comes here on the back of an encouraging reappearance run behind Randolph O'Brien at Towcester last month and a reproduction of that form may well suffice in this company. Freeline Fury was heavily supported on his first start for Bernard Llewellyn but fell and now looks best watched, while Fine By Me has been beaten a long way in his two outings this term and is hard to back with any confidence. Topless unseated his rider when seemingly struggling on his reappearance at Chepstow earlier this month but he should come on for that run and has claims if his jumping holds up. It is hard to get away from Elsie's Pride though and he is given a confident vote in a modest event by Wincanton's standards.
