Irish point-to-point winner Buck Magic made a winning rules debut when landing a Taunton bumper last month on his rules debut and he has to be considered first time up over hurdles but may have to settle for minor honours behind VICO. The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding won both his starts in points and made an encouraging start to his hurdling career when finding Triggerman just a length too good in this event 12 months ago. Lack of a recent run should not be a problem for Vico who can go one better today. Fortification would have every chance if able to reproduce chase form over timber but he is better over fences, while any support for either Colin Tizzard's Ceepeegee or Emma Lavelle's Stadium Arcadium, who both represent in-form stables, should be noted.
